Scroll Gen 5 52577 TCC8900 Android 2.3 Recovery

Hello, i am having trouble with this device i am looking for a dump of the original recovery
I cannot access the recovery option using vol+ and power on it just hangs on the first \Scroll/ image
Ive looked and looked but cant seem to find any answers regarding this

BUMP

this is basically the original scroll with Android 2.3.1 Rom
It is running Firmware 1.02
Looking in build.prop it says the board is TCC89000

I need either clockwork mod with properly mapped keys or if someone can tell me how to map keys i can do this myself

Or original recovery files that i can flash via adb

Hi Suggsy

I have this tablet and have managed to root it ok. I am reading a few linux books, kernal books and android books and am starting to understand the terms. In my day ROM stood for Read Only Memory whereas today it seems to stand for some sort of memory dump that can be uploaded to replace your exisitng system.

Once I have finished I may understand your post here and if I can then help I will.

hello bt0558, thanks for your reply

please try this in adb with scroll attached

i tried it my self and it works

adb remount r/w

adb shell

cat /dev/mtd/mtd6 > /sdcard/recovery.img

exit

adb pull /sdcard/recovery.img . (leave the . (dot) it needs to be there)

this will pull your current (hopefully original) recovery to you adb directory on your pc

resulting .img should me 10mb in size

can you upload it to rapidshare or any othe free hosting site for me, and share the link, no personal data will be pulled
