Google account registered on this device?

I have just bought and started working with my first Scroll tablet - Scroll Pocket Mini Tablet PC (Android 4.0).

I've installed the first app, the TuneIn Radio.

I am now getting a banner across the screen stating "There is no Google account registered on this device. Please log in with a Google account and try registering again"

I have never had a gmail account so I'm not certain what to do next on the Pocket Mini Tablet.

Hi jspalmer and welcome to the forum. Yes, if you want to download apps from the Google Playstore then you will need to set up a Google/gmail account.
