digital camera - usb stick

hi guys well my scroll has turned up today and im very impressed i have tried connecting a 4gb usb stick to my scroll using the threads i found using the search facilty but still no joy im afraid im not quite sure im looking you will have to exscuse my knowledge it is zero which is why i could do with a hand .also i would like to be able to connect my digital slr camera to my scroll to view images on a larger scale is this possible and is there a tutorial somewhere .
