A friend indeed

Hi All,

Glad to have found this forum.
I've been lurking for a little while now, but today I've had to register and post.

I purchased my scroll from Maplins in the UK, which came with FW1.01, which I upgraded to 1.02.
I then rooted, installed clockwork, changed the build.prop to v3 from this forum, and got the latest market to work.
All was well, and I was happy, apart from I didn't have a market icon on the screen or in the program tray.
Foolishly, I didn't think to backup before going on an installation rampage trying to get this icon...
I now have a scoll shaped brick that flashes "android" as long as you want it to.

Any chance any one has an update.zip to save my scroll?
I've searched the forum, but couldn't find a link.

Cheers

Dan.

Well if you have cwm you can perform a lot of fixing via adb, youll need to installed the android sdk which you can then remotely access your file system from your pc via usb and also be able to run logfiles to help diagnose why and where it's sticking.

Was able to push new copy of launcher.apk into /system/app, and I was back in business.
And I got to have a play around with adb, very powerfull.

Cheers
