Scroll Tablet PC | Scroll Excel Tablet Forum

Hello and thanks for the great advice here. I have just bought the Scroll from Maplin who have 'discounted' it by £50 (sterling) - but they usually overprice - cost £147 (£142 - less 'voucher').
I have been a mac user for years - I have an laptop and an ipod touch. But the laptop is a 17inch Macbook Pro which is a weight to lug around. And I have had two portable machines stolen over the years - the Scroll in terms of value for money impresses.
I was drawn to it because it's a great little media player, amongst other things. I have movies on usb sticks and it works fine with the hdmi out.
It's lightweight enough to take in a flight bag.
So much for first impressions but I have a couple of questions...
Can you plug in an external mike for Skype....I have downloaded the app but it quits when I try to sigh in, probably because of the lack of an internal mike...the odd thing is it has a voice recording app pre-installed!
Has anyone got it to work with Skype?

i've had some success, but i'm still working on getting it stable. i've only mentioned it briefly on the irc channel as it's not stable for me yet (it logs in fine, and i can see and chat with my friends on it).. i'll post when im happy with it.

Disregard the specs given by maplins, the scroll does have a built in mic!
