My first Tablet and first post and just getting my head around it

Two questions please; there is a thin plastic film over the screen that has air bubbles underneath. Should this film be removed?
Second; when I select Market there is a short pause and then an error message "A server error has occurred". I am of course connected to my WiFi!!

Hi Andrew and welcome. The film is the default screen Protection although it's a tad on the tatty side. You can find the ipad/galaxy protectors and cut them down.

You can also push the bubbles gently with a very soft cloth out towards the edge to release the air.

I used a credit card on its edge, did a grand job.

I have been having this problem as welll...

I have that a few times this evening, first time though, perhaps it is a Google side problem rather than the scroll for once

this is a long shot - but had an idea - is ur google account @gmail.com or @googlemail.com that u use to sign on the scroll ?

I use googlemail, I tried Gmail on HTC desire and that went badly, total loss of market

when was that u used gmail on the HTC? - coz that would have happened like that mid last year, cos of a dispute that is now sorted. where uk users had to change to a googlemail to use market.

whats ur firmware again?

Im firmware 1.00, no real problems, just quirks like no logcat. Market fine at the moment, no error for 3 hours - just a one off for me I think
