Just a quick line to say bought from Maplin (UK) today at a slightly reduced price. I took a very long time to research which lower end Table tPC would be most useful to me and the Scroll fitted the bill. Noticeable only one Youtube entry regarding it. Thankfully I found this site which is clear and well run by its administrator, as a trawl through any "Scroll" related topics only usually begins "I am thnking about buying....etc".
Well done all contributors and posters on this site for forming the nucleus of a great group !

Hiya, I'm new too. Got mine from dabs a couple of days ago, plus I got the SOKPAD wallet and keyboard from another site. Thanks everyone for the useful advice on this forum so far.

Mainly what I want to use the tablet for is reading PDFs and Kindle books, however Adobe Reader is playing up for me when I try to scroll down through files... it doesn't scroll nicely for me
At the moment I'm considering returning it to dabs (or selling it on ebay) and getting a Kindle instead. I think the reading experience on a Kindle would be much better. But I was hoping the Scroll would give me some other nice app options as well as just reading.

My main concern is the slowness of the screen, I'm used to my HTC Desire phone and the screen on the Scroll is so difficult to use by comparison (I know it's a different screen technology).
I would hope that an upgrade to Froyo would help make things feel a bit quicker. Do people really think SO are producing an update file for us, or is this just empty promises?

"Up"graded to firmware 1.01, got the usual Market problems that others have posted about.

SO are just a reseller as far as I can see. they didn't write up the build.prop for the device at least and that's a basic thing to do...
2.2 if it does come officially it will take a while to be with us I think...
