I have been wanting a tablet for a while, but cheap tablets are not available here (Sri Lanka) and I have no intention of forking out for an Ipad or Galaxy Tab without knowing if I like the format.
I got one brought over from the UK, and I could not live without it. The main is advantage is that I am in no position to return it under warranty if it proves faulty - but thats one less thing to worry about when I feel confident enough to install Cyanogen Mod.
I hate the inflexibility, and would far prefer to have a real Linux distro on it rather than Android, but I love being able to read ebooks in bed, and have a little web browser, an ebook collection, and a few useful things like that in a package I can tuck under my arm.
Its limited though. Overall its a gadget for reading and web browsing, but for doing anything, and certainly not for getting work done - whereas my laptop does the lot. On the other hand I cannot carry my laptop comfortably in one hand.
It is not wonderful , but it does what I want cheaply, until I get what I really want (an Always Innovating Smartbook).
