Hi. Just purchased the 7" capacitive Scroll 52577 and also a Storage Options SOKPAD Options Scroll Wallet and Keyboard.

Scroll works fine, however can't get the keyboard to work. There were no instructions so just connected the USB via the micro usb adapter but the pop-up keyboard still appears. No way to turn it off in Settings and no apparent switch on external keyboard.

I suppose the keyboard could be dead, but would appreciate any advice before sending back.

Also no stylus came with Scroll but a plastic one one came with the SOKPAD, which doesn't work. Does it have to be a special stylus to work with the capacitive screen?

Thanks.

in regards to the keyboard, ensure that you are plugging it into the correct USB port. when you plug it in, the 3 lights should light up. I'm sure its the USB host socket you need to use.

in regards to stylus... you will not get a stylus working on a capacative touchscreen unless you get a specially designed one. it usually has to have some sort of capacative silicone tip. there are a few for the ipad, but they are probably expensive.

Thanks Kamikaze-x

There is only 1 USB port, which is a micro USB. I had to use an adaptor as the keyboard has a USB A male. Have checked adaptor ok on another device. Also plugged in keyboard on my laptop and it didn't work.

Shows no lights so assume it's DOA. Will return.

Thanks also for info on Stylus.

Mike

wow. i assumed that it had 2 like the original scroll. anyway, the USB keyboard should work in the USB connector without any issues as it is a host usb.
