Just got my 2nd user Scroll 7" Android 2.1, firmware 1.02 Tablet this morning... So far I'm pretty darned impressed with it. Responsive, decent screen, already got Facebook set up. and a working Youtube app.. Not tried market yet.. probably won't work "OOTB"
PLayed a couple of videos on it and got Angry birds up.. Same graphical glitches as reported.. But for what it is and the price they go for.. a nice piece of kit.
This forum has been a great help by the way for someone such as myself not being familiar with Android..
I bought my wife an Android tab couple of years ago now.. old 1.6 Flytouch.. now that WAS a piece of rubbish..
This thing is a whole other end of the spectrum as far as cheap touch tablets are concerned.. Now.. just gotta get the TF card (ordered) installed and fill it up with Apps and videos etc...

Quick update... I have been able to download from Android market.. from links on the web on the Scroll.
Even though I have no market App...
So far everything except things like BBCi and TVcatchup works fine..

I would suggest downloading as much from the market as you need ASAP as it could fail at any time. Other options include applanet.

I have now rooted the Tab and renamed the Phone APK's...
I still have market downloads working.. and in fack since rooting I have found the market App itself... which works.. So Far..
I am still loving this Tablet..

I'm still fiddling about with my new Scroll that arrived the same day.

Can you let me know where the link on the Storage Options website is please?

I'm going to attempt rooting soon but I'm not clear on the process yet. Thanks

I should have been more clear. Can combatgerbil let me have the link he used from the Scroll website to the android market?

At the moment I've getting through by search for apps in androidpit that then links through to android market and seems to work.

There is no link on their website... I google search for apps I want.. and the links on the web take me to the android market.
But since rooting the Scroll I have found the app for market on the Tablet itself and have created a shortcut on the Scrolls "desktop" So I have fully working Android Market.
Applanet seems to be having problems at the moment though... "network problems??"
Don't know if that's a general thing.. or just mine since the rooting etc..
