Hello. Android marketplace question

I have asked for a scroll 7" for my birthday (next week). I have just noticed on the Storage Options website that they are no longer supporting android marketplace or giving advice on it's use. Is there still a way to purchase apps from Android Marketplace, and if so, How do I do it? Also, Can the device be upgraded to android 3.0?

It's possible that we will get something beyond 2.1 but the specs probably aren't good enough for 3.0. Someone here will know for sure, but don't count on any upgrades. Look in the how to section for "detection found the market fix". It's a bit complicated but it will get you full market access.

Ok. I have installed all of the required software mentioned in the how to guide. I have tried to set up a virtual device with the settings shown in the guide. every time I launch the android SDK, the emulator goes straight to "Not Responding". I have checked the "Wipe user data" option and snapshot is not turned on. I have uninstalled and re-installed the software but still no luck. Any Suggestions?
