another confused newbie

Well I live in France and don't have sat tv. I had a computer here but it is now at our new business and have been using my daughters laptop to stream english tv shows etc.That is not always available for me to use. We have an AOL box with Wifi that we use to access the net. My brother in law has a tablet with android which he showed me that I could stream movies etc and said I should get one as more comfy to sit and watch on the couch. It was my fault and lack of knowledge that I bought the wrong thing. I hadn't wanted to spend alot of money on something I was just watching movies and facebooking on.

Even the ipad doesn't support flash, which seems a bit odd.
