Hello chaps and chapettes.

Got the scroll tablet for my birthday and for the most part am really happy with it. But lack of JavaScript and Flash support is driving me insane, I need Android 2.2 like yesterday!

I have and HTC Desire on 2.2, and although I know that I will not have multitouch on the tanlet, I really do need the software support it provides.

So any step by step idiots guides to rooting and installing 2.2 start to finish for a nubcake would be appreciated!

There is no 2.2 yet.
There will never be proper flah (most you can do is flash lite that is kinda suckly and dosent do iplayer/4od etc)
Javascript should work just enable it in the browser settings. if it still says no then disable and reenable it.

lol very good Diego,

Cheers for the advice WF, thats really all I am looking for, its frustrating when sites I build for a living don't work quite right on my tablet due to 2.1. But as I mainly use JQuery now, enabling JS will do me for now! I will also happily contribute to the 2.2 porting fund.

1. press the menu hard button when the browser is running,
2.Enter settings
3.Check the box next to "enable JavaScript"
4.Job Done :)

Thank you, thats another thing I have learnt.
This is what they create when they do not provide an instruction book.
