Yet another Scroll fan - Excel + Extreme

Postby budgie » April 24th, 2012, 4:17 pm

Hi,

Had the Excel since December and the Extreme more recently - 4 days to be exact.
Was/am very impressed with the Excel except for a small niggle - lip sync was a tad out on loaded videos viewed either via Gallery Films or other apps I tried. I was told that this was a characteristic of Android 2.3. The Excel is a comfortable well turned out and addictive little tablet.

The reason for owning both is that the wife took a shine to the Excel and I was keen to experience Android 4.
So title of the Excel passed to my wife and I purchased an Extreme (just a few days sadly before it was reduced to £179) - still after a few days use I am generally pleased with it. The only disappointment so far is that a mobile version of BBC iPlayer seems not exist for ICS. I can however get it to work via an installation of Google Chrome Beta but would prefer the proper ICS compatible app. Works great on YouTube though and films now are properly lip synced.

I have to say that it has been worrying to hear of the problems that other Extreme owners have been experiencing. Hope mine continues to behave.
Will be keeping up to date with posts with interest.
Always said that I would never buy a tablet!

Hi,

Yes I read suggsy89's post but my lack of confidence coupled with the fact that my Excel is still under warranty said I should wait a bit.
