I got my scroll for xmas 2010, and haven't really used it until I found this site yesterday.
Whilst waiting for my account to be activated, I followed a 3-piece guide by one of the users, that, in order, showed me through the processes of; (in a 3-thread guide)
Rooting
Installing ClockworkMod
Installing some sort of patch (through ClockworkMOD) which changed a value of sorts from 160 to 140, amongst other things, which I've already forgotten
(thankyou to whoever this user was, apologies for not knowing your specific username)...After doing this, (and noticing the superbly improved performance and functionability) I took the liberty of browsing through some of the other topics, most notably to software/ROM topic.
My first main question is to do with the v1.02 / v1.02s / v2.02 etc values. I'm not entirely sure how to find out which one of these my device is, and an explanation of tis would be greatly appreciated (:
My second question is which ROM most of you guys are now using, I saw a thread for Cyanogen 7.1.0, and I'm a fan of Cyanogen, I've got 7.1.0 on my ZTE Blade, and I'm suitably impressed that someone has managed to port it to the Scroll, may I say (:
I also saw a thread for a 2.2 beta, and another for a "steroid" ROM?
I may have missed something, but still, my question is, which one is the newest/most used ROM at the moment, by you guys? (:
