I read the title as Polish (The language) not polish (The cleaner)

Although on 2nd thoughts either meaning is applicable to the first

Anyone actually used this stuff? The tube I have says "Do not use on touchscreens"... It has been on my shelf for a few years mind, maybe this is a new formulation? I've been googling as to whether this is safe or not, and have seen arguments for and against. I'm not brave enough to try it yet, maybe I will if the scratches get much worse.

Yeah I would suspect that whilst great for polishing scratches out of normal displays it may actually damage the resistive layer.

i use it on touch screen mobiles and have had no ill effects my friend with a i pad used it with good results if you go easy with it and not to much pressure. (its like using brasso on plastic the tiny partials act as a cutting agent) if you can find out the type of screen on the scroll the material compound i can pass that on to a friend who works in a place that produce cutting agents for screen and various polishing products

Well Brian, it's resistive, rather than capacitive (like the iPad's screen) so it'll be softer, probably polyvinyl-based

okey dokey i will pass the info on i no people will worry about the screen and yes you can possibly make it worse leave it if unsure but the personal results i have got from displex have been ok. have no need to try it on the scroll yet just thought i would post about it.

Resistive screens are generally more durable than capacitive screens. However, resistive screens have a specific vulnerability to certain applications of force. Sharp, pointed objects and forces that put the screen under tension can damage the resistive screen whereas they would not damage the capacitive.

I plucked up the courage to try some displex on my seriously scratched screen... And thus far it's still working. I used seriously small amounts of the stuff, and was very gentle with the polishing. While the big scratches are still clearly there, a lot of the small ones are gone, and the big 'uns certainly seem a little less severe now. I'm trying to decide whether I should try another application or two, or quit whilst I am ahead!
