Hey guys.
I just thought I would tell you about a handy app that allows you to create a nandroid backup without booting into custom recovery.
I haven't had chance to test it on my granddaughters Excel but thought I'd let you know.
The only problem I can for see with it is during the initial setup, you have to select a manufacturer and model.

You also have the option to have the nandroid backup compressed and uploaded to the cloud. All while you are still using it :-)
Anyway, here's a link.

The app is free BTW:-)

Ya, i agree that Orange Backup is used to take backup of entire data. Additionally, it has a great review. Thanks for sharing such a great link.

Thanks for the link. I Installed it and took a backup but have some concerns.

In the backup folder I have 9 files - eight 100Mb files ending with .zo? (zo3 is missing) and the last one a 29.1Mb zip file.

The z01 file starts with a zip signature (pk) and contains a reference to boot.img. The zip file doesn't start with the usual zip signature.

None of the files (including the zip one) can be opened with a zip manager.

My concern is- do I have a valid nandroid backup or not. Is there any way of checking without trying to restore the backup ?
