basically just want to know if the 'android' or 'welcome' splash images can be replaced or removed?
in doing so would it show the boot process as it loads?

i prefer a 'barebones' look to my gadgets

failing that, replacement of the screen will have to suffice!

It'll be probably done in the 2.2 once completed young jedi... patience

the 'android' splash is not hard to replace in 2.1 - there is a post about it, the 'welcome' one is not easy to change in this build.
