They released newer versions very quickly, it seems.

Employees are like mules. Some you stand in front of and coax them along with a carrot. Some you stand behind and kick them in the arse. The key to management is knowing which mules are which!

Hi
I'm having same problems identifying exactly what scroll I have, I have only 1 usb port.
The ethernet seems not to work I think it's missing a driver? wanted to get this working to connect wirelessly to my pc
but no info
also has any 102s's with the 1 usb port been able to flash gb successfully
are there any 102s's with 2 usb ports maybe thats whats causing issue with usb host mode on gb.

We are going to have to list every variation of the scroll to sort this out till then it's a bit of a bum trip

don't get me wrong have this working fine @factory settings cept for the market and adobe flash the essentials lol and I was hoping to rdp with it as well I would advise people not to buy untill they fix flash though
or get an advent vega that does it all for a few dollas more lol

@ eddie bloggs, how does your spinscroll app work? only reason i ask is because the first time i used it, it automatically scrolled but now after messing about and reinstalling, i have put a shortcut on homescreen and have to keep touching it to move? seems odd thanks

I'm not quite sure what you mean by "automatically scrolled". All the program does is read the current orientation (using getWindowManager().getDefaultDisplay().getOrientation() in Android speak), then it sets the orientation to the next orientation in sequence as if you were rotating the screen 90 degrees anti-clockwise. It should only rotate 90 degrees per click. Isn't that what you've always been seeing?

If the display was rotating when you turned the Scroll, it wasn't with the help of my app!!! The automatic rotation means that the Scroll's accelerometer was working with whatever version of Android you had running. Was that when you were running the original Android version 2.1? If so, you didn't need my app - the operating system was already doing the rotation.

The app is intended for those who have installed the CyanogenMod 7 release for the Scroll, which currently doesn't work with the Scroll's accelerometer. I produced the very simple Android app so that people could rotate their screen manually until we get a sorted version of CyanogenMod 7. When it's fixed, the accelerometer will again be used to rotate the screen and you won't need the app.

actually it was with cm7, i had deleted the hell out of all the apps, so i could just play games and go surf the web, but cm settings kept fcing and something else when i connected to wifi, it was doing my head in so i rebooted, i thought it was your app was doing it, because i knew the accelerometer didnt work, i cant remember if i deleted all the apps before i flashed the rom or after, i might do some experimenting later on if i get the chance

I think we'd all be interested in the results of those experiments. Maybe it's one of the apps you deleted that's screwing up the accelerometer interface. :o
