Here's what I did to get the calibration working. Your mileage may vary!
I changed the permissions on the existing pointercal file, deleted it and created a "null" pointercal file. This is a text file with the numbers "1 0 0 0 1 0 1" (note the space between each number) on a single line followed by a newline. I had to do this or I couldn't "reach" the calibration points in the calibration app.
I had to use an ADB connection from my PC to the Scroll because the onscreen keyboard was unusable in the terminal emulator app.
- Code: Select all
adb shell
chmod 666 /data/misc/pointercal
rm /data/misc/pointercal
cat > /data/misc/pointercal
1 0 0 0 1 0 1
<type control-d here to close the file>
reboot
On reboot, I started the calibration app and touched the calibration points. I used ADB to IMMEDIATELY reboot at that point but a normal power off and power on would probably do.
- Code: Select all
adb shell reboot
and it all magically fixed itself.
@fonefixer
I haven't had any problem with the wifi - if anything it's a better signal. I'm about 10m away, separated by a brick wall from the router (Linksys WRT400 ch1 wpa) and I'm getting 2 of the 3 "bars" on the wifi icon. I can't say I've noticed any speed difference one way or the other between 2.1 and cm7.
