Dust...

Hi all,

new poster, long time lurker.

I've had my Scroll for a little while now, and i'm having an issue with dust under the top layer of the screen. these dots are white lumps of dust and are clearly stuck under the very top film on the touchscreen- i contacted storage options about how to remove this to clean it but they said to return to the reseller, which i don't want to do each time i get a piece of dust under the screen.

btw, i no longer have the factory screen protector on- it isnt that i'm talking about.

any ideas?

Not seen that yet.

At first I thought you were on about that factory shipping protector.

Will have a good look later.

Wonder if you could get something statically charged, like when you rub a balloon and can stick it to a wall

Put the "balloon" or whatever is charged over the screen and see if you can pull the dust away to the side of the screen

hi detection, I have been toying with that idea. I'll have a go and post results, but more ideas welcome.

 looks like i have a slight dust issue ! I'm sure it was not there before????

I am hoping that its just under the so called 'screen protector' bit which I have not taken off.

after a bit more investigation, the biggest spot on my screen is actually what appears to be a blemish, and not dust as it is on the top surface.

it definitely isnt a scratch, but a round 1mm indent (i havent used anything but my finger) in the top layer that doesn't look like i have caused it (there is no pressure mark around it).

i'm thinking the plastic has reacted with something on my finger tip and corroded at that spot, which is annoying.

I also have some marks/dust that has appeared under the screen.

Has any one opened their device to clean theirs?

I'm tempted to open mine to see what the battery is all about. Also see if I can flip the screen around.
