Id be interested in seeing it working with ubuntu - could you link us to the firmware so we can do a bit of investigating ?

EDIT - I found it easily enough

I have a feeling I made a thread about this a while ago, after checking the hardware specs and seeing them to be almost identical

Any idea how to get the extracted files to install onto the scroll as its not going to be the typical method? Also I'm mainly looking at ubuntu but I have discovered the mali 200 isn't fully used the ubuntu wiki informs that the netbook distro needs 3d for the gui but canoical have developed a specifc 2d driver to allow install on arm based chips. I cant work out which omap distro is compatible with the scroll anyone got any idea? Failing that any ideas how to flash the extracted q7 firmware as the tc8900 is used in the q7 too but some already know that :)

This is the site I am keeping my eye on - the CherryPad is the scroll with a different branding, and the company is promising Gingerbread 2.3 once it becomes available - as the CherryPad is identical to the scroll, we will just need to apply the update the normal way.
