Using stick mount app was able to mount an 8gb lexar stick with no problems. The app detects the stick has been plugged in an automatically mounts it for you.
EDIT my usb powered 2.5" Samsung 400gb drive seems to work fine too.
I have used a similar RK3066 chipset tablet and although its faster than the Extreme, its nowhere near as smooth as the Nexus 7. Could be Jellybean thats making all the difference though, or just better optimised drivers etc maybe.
I am predicting that there will be a Dual Core version announced very soon using the new RK Dual core chipset with Quad core Mali graphics (similar to the spec Piers ordered).
